Pastor Jumaine and Dafnette Jones

HOST & SPEAKER

Pastor & Spiritual and Connections Director

The Bridge Church

Pastor Jumaine Jones is a speaker, author, and leader. He is the founder and Lead Pastor of The Bridge, a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church in Silver Spring, MD. He is the author of the book, Lost In Love: Navigating the Five Relationship Terrains.  He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he earned his Masters of Theology. He is originally from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

He has been married to his beautiful wife, Dafnette Jones, for over 13 years. After praying for a child for nearly 11 years, God finally allowed them to conceive and give birth to their miracle daughter Jaliyah (pronounced Jah-lee-yah) Victoria Jones. They currently reside in Takoma Park, MD.

Dafnette Jones is an author, speaker, and teacher born and raised in the D.C. metropolitan area. After spending several years as a classroom teacher, she transitioned to vocational ministry and currently serve as the Spiritual Growth and Connection Director at The Bridge – a multiethnic, multigenerational local church in Silver Spring, MD. Her training in biology, education, and theology converge as she teaches, writes, and speaks. Each season of her life brings new aspirations and new opportunities to share with others all that she learns through personal study and experiences. For this reason, she’s especially excited about publishing her first book – The Waiting Room: Choosing to Thrive When Life Hurts, and the impact it continues to have on readers. Dafnette is also the founder of LHITStyle (pronounced light-style). The LHITStyle brand and movement challenges and equips women to live honorably, intentionally, and truly in Christ.

Dafnette also enjoys serving alongside Jumaine, her husband of nearly fourteen years. After more than ten years of praying and waiting, the couple welcomed a daughter, Jaliyah, into their family. Dafnette knows what it’s like to wait and remain hopeful when life gets tough. Waiting for relational and fertility breakthroughs throughout her life hasn’t been easy. Thus, she endeavors to provide inspiration and resources to help others live fruitful, God-honoring lives amid life’s inevitable challenges. She aims to encourage and equip people to thrive in every season.
